NTUH has signed a memorandum of understanding with HistoSonics, the US developer of focused-ultrasound histotripsy, and unveiled the Asia-Pacific Cancer Histotripsy Training Centre — making NTUH the only medical centre in the region with trial experience across multiple cancer types and a complete training pathway.

The collaboration runs in two directions: NTUH trained 12 Guatemalan seed educators in paediatrics and obstetrics, while NTUH faculty delivered three residency training workshops and conducted clinical exchange with two Guatemalan tertiary hospitals.

Eleven members of the Philippine Heart Center’s cardiac transplant team completed clinical fellowships at NTUH in heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support, each embedded for two weeks to one month.

NTUH and Seoul National University Hospital hold a joint monthly spine tumour board, bringing together neurosurgeons, oncologists and radiologists from both institutions to review complex spinal oncology cases together.
